Making a difference in the lives of millions.
Meeting our fundraising goal requires a lot of work, time and materials. If you would like to volunteer your time and/or different materials, we would be very grateful.
Here is a list of materials that we use a lot in our fundraising efforts.
- Time!! Rebecca and I typically do all of our bucket drives ourselves. This involves standing outside of a store for 6+ hours per day alone (each of us at a different door). If you would like to take a shift, our feet would be appreciative!!
- Yarn - Any color.
- Beads - Large pony beads or any type of bead that will fit on yarn.
- Plastic Bags - We typically use zipper sealed snack-sized bags.
- Items to be included in Raffles - We include everything from Red Sox tickets to gift certificates. There's not much that we can't use for this.
- Decorative materials - between decorating our campsite at the Relay and decorating signs, buckets and tables during fundraising activities, we have put out a lot of money here.
Please note that the preferred color is purple!
- Ideas - we need ideas for fund raising events. Along with your ideas, we would warmly welcome you to volunteer with us to put on the event and make it a success!
- Money!
- Each year we will be looking for a shirt sponsor. This is a person or company to pay for having the Sara's Smiles Team shirts printed. In return, we will include your company name and/or a special message in the artwork for the back of the shirts. We will also put your company name and/or a special message on our website.
- Donations are greatly appreciated.
- Money towards the purchase of any of the above items would be appreciated as well!
